Letter from the Editor

Dear colleagues,
In new number of the almanac the geographic background of authors has extended. I will try to
briefly introduce few authors and some of their work.

Vlad Melamed and Robert Grishin are founders and leaders of New Tradition Sociological
Society at Toronto, Canada in 2001. They are authors of the book “The medieval empire of the
Israelites”. Their author's position: “Our unity comes from devotion to logic, facts and common
sense. Therefore we wrote this book and part of it is in front of you. Our deepest belief is that
one day a priority of facts will become defining in historical researches. Unfortunately, not
today”. The almanac contains their book “The medieval empire of the Israelites” in Russian
language. Some part of book in English can be read at the website New Tradition Sociological
Society - http://new-tradition.org .
Dr.Yaroslav Kesler (b.1946) and Dr. Igor Davidenko are founders and leaders scientific group
“The civilization” in Moscow, Russia. Representation about interests of scientific group is given
the article by Dr. Kesler “The perception of open-ended time” at a website http: // newtradition.
org.
The almanac contains Dr. Kesler’s articles “The perception of time” and “The alcohol
revolution as a civilizing event” in English.
Dr. George Serdzev (b. 1946 Moscow, Russia) is the author of several chronological works.
The almanac contains his article “New calendar of Grand Prince of Moscow Ivan III Vasilevich
and its reform in XVII century” in Russian. The article presents his hypothesis that Grand Prince
Ivan III introduced Byzantine world era to Moscow. The reform of a Byzantine world era in
Moscow was in the middle of XVII centuries.

I have taken interview with Dr. Eugen Gabovitsch (Potsdam, Germany) and Uwe Topper
(Berlin, Germany) who are founders and leaders of three Historical salons at Germany in
different time. This interview is called “Morozov, Velikovsky, Fomenko and others”. The
interview has two parts: first part of interview with Dr. Gabovitsch in Russian, and second one
with Uwe Topper in English.
Dr. Gabovitsch has sent article “Prehistory of the calendar” to Almanac in Russian language.
Uwe Topper (b.1940) is a German artist, researcher and author of books about historical,
ethnographical and anthropological subjects. He lives in Berlin, Germany as a self-subsistent
artist, writes freelance in several reviews of historical interest and delivers speeches in German,
English and Spanish in some small circles interested in history. He has his own website
www.newchronology.eu. He has sent to the Almanac article “The lost three centuries - second
opinion” in English.
Sergey Morosov (Tallinn, Estonia) has written “A mystery of “The return of the prodigal son”
by Rembrandt” in Russian. The article presents his hypothesis that on the famous picture “The
return of the prodigal son” by Rembrandt, artist presented part of Russia’s history in middle of
XVII century.
Vladimir Vishnev ( b.1951, Sverdlovsk, Russia) is an engineer and the author of several works
on topic of historical analytical. The almanac contains the article of “Velicovskiy and New
Chronology Fomenko-Nosovskiy” in Russian. The article presents Vishnev’s hypothesis that the
global catastrophes described by the American scientist Immanuel Velikovsky (1895-1979) did
not occur in the BC XV-VII centuries, but in AD X century. Fomenko and Nosovsky reconstruct
history from AD XI century.
I have shown in the article "The First critic of history - Jesuit Hardouin " in Russian, that
Hardouin was the typical falsifier of history, and that he wrote critics about history based on
order from Vatican.
Chronics of historical analytics:
History Salon Potsdam and New History Salon Berlin plans to introduce the IV International
conference on historical analytics at Potsdam, Germany in September 12th – 14th, 2008 - “First
announcement” in English and Russian.
I wrote “The variety of opposition" in Russian. Article talks about Russian nationalism in the
Project Civilization, organization (Moscow, Russia). Leaders of the organization have
successfully over come nationalistic racism for the accuracy and efficiency of the project. It was
not for a small price, some of the staff had to be let go, due to their fascist and anti-Semitic
points of view.
